🐕 Becoming Your Dog’s Safe Space

Hi There,

I had to take Riker to the vet today. He is terrified of the handling, poking, and prodding that typically happens there. I advocate for him. I help him feel safe.

And the same goes for leash reactive dogs. We can teach them that we are the safe place. We have their backs.

One of the most powerful things you can be for your dog is their safe space.

This means:

  • They can always count on you to never hurt or scare them.
  • Even when the world feels overwhelming or scary, you remain calm and predictable.
  • They know that when things get stressful, they can lean on you for guidance and reassurance.

Being your dog’s safe space doesn’t mean you remove all challenges. It means you guide, support, and protect them while helping them grow confident in the world.

This foundation is at the heart of my 8-Week Leash Reactivity Deep Dive. Together, we teach your dog the skills they need to stay confident, while giving you the tools to be their calm, dependable partner every step of the way.

✨ Enrollment is open now—but only until the end of the week!

Hey friend, I had a visitor this week—a nine-week-old working line Aussie named Gator. She came over for a few hours of socialization, and we packed a lot of learning into some very short play sessions. I started some patterns and structure for self control and arousal management without doing obedience drills. A few highlights: Toy trading — Prevent keep-away games and resource guarding before they start, and build a foundation for recall away from dogs and prey animals. Sit for the toy —...
