Stop Reactivity in Its Tracks 🚦

🌟Sept 24 Free Training

Does the thought of seeing another dog or a person on a walk fill you with dread? You’re not alone. 🐾

Before we can actually train those triggers, we need some games and skills in place to help us manage them. Did you know there’s a big difference between training and managing?

If we jump straight into the training games and something unexpected happens—like a surprise dog or we accidentally get a little too close or a little too far—we can end up in a tricky (and maybe scary) situation… for both us and our dog. 😬

That’s why Step 2 of my Roadmap to Leash Reactivity is all about anticipating surprises and having safe “get out of trouble” skills in place—skills that are in your muscle memory before the real challenge shows up.

When you have these management skills ready, you can train with confidence, keep your dog safe, and actually make progress instead of just reacting to chaos. 💡

🎉 Want to learn exactly how to put these skills into action? Sign up for my free training and get ready to feel safe walking your dog! 👉 Register here

During the workshop, I will be opening the doors to my signature 8 week reactivity training & coaching program, Leash Reactivity Deep Dive with a special limited time bonus.

I’ll see you SOON,

– Christina

Jubilee has struggled with lameness and GI issues her entire life. She’ll turn seven in January. After seeing a top neurologist, we now have a probable diagnosis of Tethered Cord Syndrome. I’ve decided not to pursue surgery. Without surgery, I know she is unlikely to see her eighth birthday. That’s really hard. It sucks....

Engaged training Resilience * Emotional Regulation * Self Control I've seen a few posts going around lately advocating for use of tools that use pain or fear to apply stress to a dog to help them learn. The trainers promote the idea of a false dichotomy - either you bubble wrap your dog and never progress.. stuck in ineffective training, OR you use e-collars, prong collars, and other tools to either apply stress or to suppress behaviours when a dog is put into stressful situations.. Stress...
